Gas Duct Burners
Uniform heat distribution for process air heating
SKS gas duct burners are used wherever uniform heat distribution across large areas is essential – for example in drying systems, hot gas generators and industrial coating processes.
Thanks to their modular design, large-volume flame geometry and short flame length, they provide intensive heat transfer without localized overheating. The wide turndown ratio and low NOₓ emissions enable efficient, low-emission process heating.
Uniform Heat Distribution for Consistent Temperature Profiles in Air Ducts
Uneven heating of large air ducts often leads to undesirable thermal effects. These include stratification, localized overheating and temperature variations across the entire duct cross-section. As a result, energy losses, unstable drying and heating processes, and increased exhaust air emissions may occur.
The modular SKS gas surface burner ensures uniform heat input across the entire duct width. Its large-volume flame geometry enables effective flow distribution even at high air velocities, resulting in significantly more homogeneous temperature profiles throughout the duct. This improves heat transfer, stabilizes plant operation and supports energy-efficient processes.
Modernize your process air heating with modular SKS gas surface burners, precisely tailored to air volume, duct geometry and thermal load requirements.

Flexible Configurations for Different Process Conditions
Depending on the application, process air systems are subject to different combustion requirements and operating conditions.
Oxygen availability, air purity and volumetric flow rates can vary considerably. SKS therefore offers gas surface burners in two technically coordinated configurations.
Configuration Without Primary Air Supply
Where sufficient oxygen is available, the gas surface burner utilizes the existing process air directly for combustion. This supports uniform heat distribution, high energy efficiency and low NOₓ emissions.
Configuration With Primary Air Supply
Where the process air composition varies, oxygen concentrations are low or additional contaminants are present, a separate primary air supply ensures the required combustion air is available.
This enables reliable combustion and consistent heat output even under demanding operating conditions.
